A message we can relate with Jimmy Marquez the "Mr. Soul" of the Star In A Million (SIAM). A just popular television search of shining stars.He is an inspiration to the young Toledanos especially to the students of Don Andres Soriano National High School, since he is a bonafide graduate of this institution. He graduated high school in 1998 and since then his energies, efforts, talents, and resources were directed towards the fulfillment of his goal in life. he attended his college at the University of San Jose Recoletos (USJR) and took up Mass Communication major in broadcast media. Then he joined USJR's Theatre for Arts and Culture that eventually made him perform in the United States. He has gone to San Francisco, Salinas, San Jose California and Las Vegas, Nevada in 1999. And in 2001, he had gone to Springville, Utah for the World Folkfest. After his college graduation, he decided to join Stages band but later left for Manila where he was taken as part of George band. There he join Anna Fegi, a fellow Toledano in the latter's performances. Destiny brought him to join SIAM that made him known as "Mr. Soul." Everybody was eager to to see him perform every sunday. And after facing all the challenges, Jimmy's time to shine came when he was declared 2nd runner up. "It wasn't meant for me. God has another plans for me," the humble Jimmy said when asked if he wasn't bitter with the decision. Well , the rest is history... Now he is under contract with Viva Records. But a sign of gratitude, last February 12, 2006, he came home to his beloved Don Andres Soriano for his Halad Pasalamat Concert. Whew!!! Fabulous... He is truly an inspiration. So what are you waiting for? Just believe in yourself...
