HINULAWAN FESTIVAL 2008 PHOTO CONTEST
MECHANICS :
1. The contest is open to all amateur and professional photographers.
2. Participants may use any Film or Digital Cameras.
3. Photo entries should be unmounted in 5R color prints.
4. Photos must be in there original take, not cropped nor digitally manipulated
5. The placement of identifying marks, such as names, addresses or any sign to insulate information about the owner of the entry is strictly prohibited.
6. Photo contest categories and prizes shall be as follows:
Category I
HINULAWAN FESTIVAL 2008 - A dance entry (competing or non-competing) in the Hinulawan Festival 2008 Grand Parade on
June 12, 2008. Pictures should be a group dancing the Hinulawan Dance and not a solo dancer posing for the shot.
Category II
FIESTA – Photos taken pertaining to the fiesta celebration of St. John de Sahagun, Patron Saint of Toledo. Exciting events and
human interest such as those taken in the parade route of Hinulawan Festival 2008 grand parade or any related
activities during the span of the Hinulawan Festival & Toledo Fiesta Celebration June 1 - 12, 2008.
e.g. FLUVIAL PARADE, PROCESSION – June 11, 2008. The miraculous image of St. John de Sahagun as carried around the
seacoasts from Toledo City port to Mainggit Sea to Bato Sea and back to Toledo City port in a
fluvial parade and the solemn procession (Port to Church).
7. Every contest category must have at least a minimum of ten (10) contestants in order to be declared a valid contest. Should a contest category has less than ten (10) contestants, such contest category shall be declared “NO CONTEST” and all prizes allocated shall revert to the City.
8. Contestants must register their entries with the maximum of 10 Photos in the category they wish to join and must be submitted on June 16, 2008 (Monday) with duly accomplished entry forms to the GICS - CMO Office located at the City Hall Building, Toledo City (Rex Jose V. Ybañez).
9. All submitted entries shall become sole and exclusive property of Toledo City and maybe reproduced and/or reprinted into any size for exhibition without seeking permission from the owner nor paying compensation for the acquisition of said photos.
10. Codes will be assigned to every entry. (contest coordinator shall affix his signature to every valid entry photo ready for contest presentation)
11. The overall winner judged as the Best picture (1st Prize) in the Photo Contest shall be awarded only that amount allocated as its prize. The amount that the entry could have won in his category shall be awarded to the next lower winner to elevate all winners in that category one rank higher with its corresponding cash prizes. Final judging will be on June 17, 2008, 10:00AM at the M. Barba Sports Complex.
12. Owners of winning entries must submit to GICS office the corresponding negative (films) and JPEG (digital) copies of said entries before they can claim their prizes
13. The Decision of the Board of Judges of the Photo Contest is Final and Unappealable.

Category I (Hinulawan Festival 2008)
1st Prize - P 8,000.00
2nd Prize - P 5,000.00
3rd Prize - P 3,000.00
7 Consolation Prizes for P 500.00 each
Category II (Fiesta e.g. Fluvial Parade, Nightly Activities, Sidelights, and other fiesta related activities)
1st Prize - P 8,000.00
2nd Prize - P 5,000.00
3rd Prize - P 3,000.00
7 Consolation Prizes for P 500.00 each
15. Announcement of winners shall be on June 18, 2008 (Wednesday).
