In celebration of the 439th Founding Anniversary of the Province of Cebu, Toledo will send in the City's entry to the Festival of Festivals at the CICC on Aug.9, 2008, to wit: selection of Toledo dancers will represent the City. Mayor Zambo & the City officials and employees concerned will be there to fully support the group.The Toledo contingent is composed of three (3) groups and in-charge were  Choreographers Ike Placibe, Jason Palicte,Jino Lana, Gamaliel Apurado for Group1, Faith Vistro,Hazel Vistro,Angelito Ceniza for Group 2, Rhodora Jimenez,Julius Poloyapoy and Stella Poloyapoy for Group 3.  They will join in the street parade and in the showdown competition which has a P1 million grand prize & P600,000.00 for the street dancing competition. They will be among the 34 contingents who will vie for the award. The 2nd placer will get P750,000.00, third place P500,000.00,fourth place P300,000.00 and fifth place P200,000.00. In the street dancing, second place gets P300,000.00 and P200,000.00 for the third place winner. The awards are on top of P100,000.00 each contingent will receive just for participating. A special prize will be  P100,000.00 for the best in costume. Said festival is assisted also by our Hinulawan artistic director Junjet Primor and at the same time Capitol's finest choreographer. So, to all the dancers from Toledo City. Goodluck and bring home the bacon.
