2009 EMPLOYEES NIGHT

(A FLASHBACK OF THE 70'S to 80's MUSIC)
ENTERTAINMENT  ( 1975-1989)

A.) MECHANICS AND GUIDELINES :

1. This contest is open to all government employees in Toledo City from the local
and national offices, who are permanent , contractual and casual employees,Job order must be
effective February 2009.

2. To attest the veracity of the status of the group membership, each coordinator shall submit
to the Civil Service staff office through Mr. Edwin Abad not later than May 15, 2009 the list of the
work status of each dancer.

3. The presentation is on June 5, 2009, 8:00 p.m. at the Barba  Sports Complex.Allparticipants are
strictly required to join in the Grand entrance parade at the venue. Group coordinators are reminded
to bring standard size streamer for the group's identification.

4. A group must be composed of a minimum of 35 and a maximum of 40 members. This excludes
the props men and production assistants. Choreographers are not allowed as dance participants.

5. Appropriate costume in harmony with the presentation should be worn. Props men and production assistants
should wear black attire in order not to scene steal.

6. Performance duration: minimum -7 minutes -maximum of 10 minutes excludng entrance and exit.

7. Time counting starts on the very first step of the dance. There shall be an automatic
one (1) point deduction for every minute over-time in the
grand total score.

8. A medley of two or three songs is acceptable. Canned music is required.

9. The Execom shall appoint an official timer, counters and tabulators for this purpose.

10. Costumes should not be removed for the grand finale and until the awarding is over.

11. During  the awarding ceremony the Group Coordinator and the choreographer shall receive the award.

12.The decision of the judges is final & unappealable. 

CRITERIA FOR JUDGING:

1. Time concept----------20%  relevant to the motif, choice of material as to movement qualities and expression, clarity of the
message and interpretation through the dance movements.

2.Performance & Choreography-----------50%  Precision and coordination, projection and dynamism, fluidity, alignment, balance and
focus, rhythmic and spatial interest. Creativity and artistry of stepsand floor pattern style.

3. costume-----------20%   Artistic choice of color combination, style and accessories/ simple hand props relevant to the presentation.

4. VISUAL IMPACT-----10%  unified and coherent impact of the whole presentation

C.) PRIZES :

First prize-------------  P 30,000.00 plus trophy

second prize------------  P 25,000.00 plus trophy

third prize ------------  P 20,000.00 plus trophy

consolation prize @ 5,000.00 each  x 3   ----- P 15,000.00

Best in costume : Plaque of appreciation

Choreographers award

First prize--------------- P 5,000.00 plus trophy
second prize--------------   3,000.00 plus trophy

third prize---------------   2,000.00 plus trophy
