The first activity in the celebration of the Civil Service Month in the Street/Coastal Cleaning conduced on September 1, 2006, 8:00 in the morning. Participated by all offices in Local and National Government. It is a simultaneous activity depends to where the area of assignment whether in the street or coast.

Street Cleaning extended from City Hall to Barangay Sangi hi-ways while coastal clean-up from pier to Sitio Lawis, Baybay area. In this activity, you can see everyone regardless of position in the government bringing with brooms and sweeping, cleaning the areas where the assigned. With this activity the employee able to share his/here capability in dealing with the environment, also extends his responsibility in the government that is by serving the public by all means.

Another  activity in the Celebration of the Civil Service Month is the Seminar on Values and Gender and Development facilitated by the Department of Education, Toledo Division and Department of Agrarian Reform on September 22, 2006. Two topics were prepared in a whole day activity attended by government employees. First topic is the Gender and Development with Ms. Andrea Paciana L. Labra as Speaker, the Chief Agrarian Reform Program officer for Administrative of DAR Provincial Office, Cebu City. It discusses the role of women in the governing generation.

Second topic is the National Culture of Excellence. The Why’s and How’s conduced by Mrs. Victoria P. Alqueza and Mrs. Loida L. Allego, Principals of Awihao National High School and North City Central School, respectively. This furthers talks on evaluation of oneself in its relation to the outside world.

To utilize time after the two topics Mr. Randy Mendaros, Fire Inspectors of Toledo City Fire Department shared on the whats and hows to do when there is a disaster coming or happening. Everyone is very participate and has enlightened to be prepared always to avoid more frightening accident.

Government Officials and Employees in Local and national Offices gathered during the Tree planting at Poloyapoy St. Extension, Sitio Sta. Ana, Poblacion one morning on September 15, 2006. The area preparation was headed by the City Engineer, Engr. Wilfredo Damgo and the distribution of seedlings and fertilizers was headed by the City Agriculturist, Mrs. Lucila Tomarong. Every office was given two seedlings to plant and has directed to put tree guard to guard to protect it until it can survive alone. The activity is a contest to the purpose that the assigned office will take care of the seedling as it grows healthy for the benefit of population free community. Judging will be on January 2007 during the City Charter Day.

Chaired by City Social Welfare and Development Office and City Health Department headed by Mrs. Milagros Espera and Dra. Jesusa Bacus, every office were assigned with one or two malnourish child/children as identified by the City Health Department in the assurances that the assigned office takes charge on the child in giving him/her food and other necessities for 21 days starting from the date the child being turn-over to that office on September 8, 2006 until September 28, 2006.
