City Mayor's Office to take the following:

1. Monitoring and Evaluation Report on every team
2. Barangay and School Score Cards
3. Other Matters

CITY MAYOR

Whereas, it is part of Filipino custom and tradition to pay respect to our dearest departed family members, relatives and friends during the observance of All Soul's Day every November 1 of the year;

Whereas, the tradition includes visiting the tombs of our dead in the cemeteries, offering flowers,candles and keeping vigil;

Whereas, because of this practice some govt. employees have to leave the City in order to observe this Filipino tradition.

The TWG members and technical advisers will meet for the presentation of photos and outputs of the Every Barangay is a Park thru the launching of the Bayanihan sa Kapaligiran Day held Friday, October 24, 2008 at the City Mayor's Office.  

All Barangay Captains, Department Heads, City officials  are enjoined to attend the birthday bash of Mayor Arlene Zambo, lunchtime at the back of the City Mayor's Office. There will be a Holy Mass at 8:00 a.m. to solemnized her Natal Day with the Consolatrix Students and teachers and employees of the City and friends of Mayor, as well.

The annual Balikatan sa Kaunlaran will herald the arrival of the Blessed Virgin Mary at the Toledo City Hall. At 7:00am, the image will be welcomed by the Vice-Mayor of Toledo and Department Heads and all employees of the City at the boundary of Bato/Pinamungahan where they will convoy going to the City Hall. Her grace, Mayor Geraldine Yapha will carry their image and turn-over it to the City Vice-Mayor for the whole day vigil in the City. After a day's stay in the City, it will proceed to Balamban where the Municipality will be the next host.

In the afternoon of October 24, 2008, Mayor Zambo and City Officials with the TWG encouraged  offices and all sectors of the City of Toledo
are enjoined to participate in the Bayanihan Para sa Kapaligiran Day. This is a Citywide
simultaneous activity of massive information, cleaning, greening and beautifying our respective
areas of responsibility which will enhance the dignity and pride of the people in the community.

Thru the office of DILG officer, Mrs. Gloria D. Pacampara, THE DILG MEMORANDUM CIRCULAR NO. 2008-152 RE: Observance of the National Week for Overcoming Extreme Poverty and the United Nations "Stand Up,Take Action Against Poverty Campaign" would be launched through a massive information drive, with a pledge commitment on the stand up, take action against extreme poverty campaign., and a prayer on Overcoming  Poverty.

As part of the Sanitary Landfill Design Training (SLF) held at Bohol Tropics last October 10, 2008. Eco-Gov with CENRO and the Technical Working Group on Sanitary Landfill will be visiting the landfill site and the LGU as well to check on the requirements whether the LGU would be ready for its full operation of the landfill area in the following year.(more updates to follow)

Toledo Organized Motorcycle Incorporated (TOMTREK) will be in full force for the Motocross '08  with the LGU of Aloguinsan in the 1st Vice-Mayor's Cup Motocross Competition at Aloguinsan, Cebu.Sponsors are Alvera Builders, RUSI, V & U, Castrol, Imarflex, San Miguel, Coca-cola Bottleers Corp., Jecabs Motor parts mostly from Toledo City.

At exactly 1:00 in the afternoon, the City wide launching for the every brgy. is a park will be done and everyone will be outside cleaning the streets, surroundings, greening the environment and  will have to start the beautification in the different schools, barangays and everywhere in the City for the City wide contest "Every Barangay is a Park. This will initiate the program until 2010.
