mother boat.jpgIt was a solemn event worth praising.The mother boat carrying the image of San Juan de Sahagun was breath-taking topped with fresh flowers and colorful decorations, the Patron was sure glad of the City's full support to this year's Fluvial Parade. On board the boat owned by Dario Surig, Fr.Jimmy Tolentin and devotees of Sr.San Juan de Sahagun joined in the fluvial procession leading the prayers at sea.Other boats serve as marshalls,the rest are for drum corps,rescue, Bantay Dagat and participated by almost 200 pumpboats.

Eleuteria Alvez, City Sec.Bonifacio Tatad, Engr.Avelino Zambo Sr.,Engr.Avelino Zambo Jr. (Chairman).The Melrivic IX serves as the guest's boat. There were full cooperation from the Coastguards,PNP, CPO,trisikad drivers,tricycles,Zone & Chapel Coordinators,Tomtrek,Predators, bikers,Toledo City Govt.,Employees,public and private schools from Poblacion.
Fireworks marks the opening of the procession. At the break of dawn 4:30 a.m., the pumpboats paved their way at sea for the start of the procession.The fluvial route went off to Brgy.Sto.Nino then passing back the pier site going to Ibo.And from Ibo, back to the pier in time for the procession from the pier going to Blvd., then passing through Luray II National High School, then on to San Juan de Sahagun church.Fireworks and confetti herald the arrival of the Patron. Hinulawan dancers greeted the arrival of the patron by dancing to the basic steps of the upcoming Hinulawan festival. Drum & bugle corps fill the air with the rhythm as they pass through the streets.
Everyone were in full support to this year's fluvial procession,well-attended,fully supported...All these we owe to the City Mayor,Vice-Mayor,City Officials,the Chairman Engr.Jun Zambo, City Mayors Office , the assistance from SK Federation,Board Member's staff,Mr.Dario Surig,Raymundo Surig, Fisherfolks Association,City Agriculture Office, Gerard Jun Mendez/staff and other offices concernedwho made the event an insurmountable success.
