To promote progress and economic growth among cities, a sisterhood agreement between Toledo City & Makati City took place at the Cebeco Social Hall, June 27, 2008 in the morning. Duly attended by our City Mayor, Vice-Mayor, City officials,Department Heads,Brgy.Captains,rep.from local & national offices and guests.

The sponsors of the ordinance were Hon. Marc Eric Espinosa, Hon.Jun Mercado, Hon.Arturo Mendoza, with the presence of the SP Secretary Bonifacio Tatad and Mr.Rene Mabao of City Agriculture's Office.

costumes galore......The Toledo LGU thru Mayor Arlene Zambo & the Government Information & Computer Services (GICS) conducted the 1st Hinulawan Photo Contest on June 17, 2008 at the Barba Sports Complex. Said contest was joined in by photography afficionados, hobbyist,freelance photographers & budding photojournalists from Cebu City and in the City as well.

mayor & governorThe 1st launching of the Hinulawan Festival was overwhelming.Mayor Zambo & City Officials were elated.  At 12:00 noon, the contingents gathered at the Toledo City Central School for the assembly .The street dancing competition amidst rain &  intense heat was well-performed. Floats of the winners of the Ms.Toledo 'o8 was glamorous.After the mardigras, the contingents lined up the streets going to the church for  a  victorious welcome to   Hinulawan's guest of honor, Gov.

Her arrival was herald with a song "Mabuhi ka Sugbuanon" with standing ovation from the crowd of spectators. She was welcomed by the City Mayor of Toledo, Hon. Arlene E. Zambo, Vice-Mayor Rudy Espinosa and City Officials.
