mayor dee n ianHailed majestic, colorful, splendid and amazing, the 2008  Employees night was a scene and event to behold! Six (6) groups from the local and national offices compete and vie for the award. The night was glamorous and indeed the most-awaited. The grand parade was spectacular as colorful costumes, dancers, actors portraying their fairy/disney roles emerged at the complex. After an inspiring message from the City Mayor, the panel of judges who were also top choreographers were introduced. And,as Mrs. Trinidad Bubuli, the host for the night wish everyone goodluck, the competition began in all its splendour.

The first presentation was from the Sangguniang Panlungsod,City Engineering Office on its musical play snowhite"Snowhite and the seven dwarfs". Snowhite and the prince was herald the most romantic couple of the night as they portrayed the kissing scene pretty well. The dwarfs were amazing in their costumes and dwarfy acts. And, the members of the  Sangguniang Panlungsod did great in their waltz, they look majestic as King Vice-Mayor Rudy Espinosa, and fairies Hon.Amy de Pio,Hon.Felicisima Macapobre,Hon.Merly Abad were awesome, and castle prince Hon.Marc Eric Espinosa,
Hon.Amuerfino Perales,Hon.Antonio Borja,Hon.Alfonso Mercado, Hon. Edgar Aguilar,Hon.Arturo Mendoza,dance gracefully along with their partners. The birds,turtle and all the animals surrounding Snowhite performed in full force. The play ended with a kiss from the prince and they dance to the symphony oh, so sweetly. The choreographer was Ricky Gamboa.

alladin's elephant rideThe second presentor was one of the crowd's favorite "Disney's Alladin" as presented by City Agriculture, City Health,City Hospital,DSWD The props bares all, in colorful parade of costumes as the narrator appeared, the genie, Alladin, gypsy dancers emerged.When the Alladin rode on the elephant,the audience applauded.And even more louder when Jasmine & Alladin were on the magic carpet ride in the theme song "A whole new world" beyond clouds & sky. Jasmine was also hailed the best princess who act splendidly great.The play was a majestic production in all its best
choreographed by Ike of Univ.of Cebu.

ariel on a pearlThe third presentor was Disney's Little Mermaid from the City Treasury,City Assessor's Office. Ariel sang with a golden voice to her heart's content with all the other mermaids,her friends  Flounder & Sebastian.The hottest dance was feeling Hot..Hot..Hot. One can imagine an under the sea adventure as they depict songs,dances matched with ocean-blue costumes. The highlight of the dance was the arrival of Ursula, the sea witch who tried to bewitch Ariel into trading her voice with a feet.Then on, Ursula was hailed the best performer elevating the group's performance in wonderful portrayal of character.

dancers-beauty n d beastThe fourth presentors were from the Department of Education's Beauty & the Beast.They displayed a synchronize dance to the symmetry of the music. Beauty played her part well and so does, Beast who later on transformed himself into a prince. The props were oriented as kitchen utensils welcoming Beauty into the house of the Beast. They dance perfectly well and most, did great.

The fifth presentation was High School's Musicale'play from the City Mayor's Office. Dubbed as the most energetic "hataw" "we're all in this together........."production as choreographed by Gino, the play made all dance to the beat.And made even more thumpings as the finale We're all in this together rock the complex. 

The last but not the least presentor were from the National Offices "Cinderella". As a tale from rags to riches, Cinderella was charmed by a  fairy godmother's magic transforming her into a pretty princess, but on the stroke of 12midnight, the spell  would be broken. She left her glass shoes making her way to win the heart of the prince. The grand ball was done with a  waltz by the dancers yet the costumes were not that Victorian. Even then, it was also nice.  cinderella

And, the most-awaited part came. Consolation prizes went to the National offices - Cinderella, SP/CEO -Snowhite,DEP Ed's Beauty & the Beast. The major award goes out to the High School Musicale- 3rd placer; Little Mermaid- 2nd placer and the most-coveted title --- grand prize goes to ALLADIN .Triumphant jubilation, joys and jumps came from all the winners and everyone were really delighted!
