The Toledo City will be hosting three big events in one day, namely; the City Thanksgiving in Honor of the Feast day of San Juan de Sahagun, the premier and first Launching of the Hinulawan Festival (”Hin-ulawan”) “Hinaguang Bulawan”, a festival showcasing the talents and ingenuity of Toledanos by depicting dances dating back to the Pintados, Pre-Spanish, Spanish, Rural, Neo-ethnic to Modern Era and the Provincial Capitol’s tourism project Suroy-Suroy Sugbo that will bring pride to our City, and hope to be included in the accredited festivals in the Cultural Center of the Philippines (CCP).
At about 3:00 p.m., the first woman governor in the Province of Cebu is expected to arrive, Gov. Gwendolyn Garcia together with Vice-Gov.Greg Sanchez, Guests and a hundred of tourist and visitors joining the Suroy-suroy Sugbo 2008. Their first destination will be at Brgy. Bato. Tourist guides will be on board the tourist bus and usherettes will distribute hats and bags, souvenir items and others. We would also be looking forward to a welcome party as children will hold flaglets.Drum & Bugle corps will convoy. From Bato, the party will head off to Poblacion at San Juan de Sahagun Church where they would pay homage to the patron saint of Toledanos. Dancers will stay on both sides to add color and lighten festive mood.From there, they would convoy either by trisikad or just simply walk to enjoy the scenery going to the converging area at the City Commercial arcade.
Prior to the event, the contingents will assemble at City Central School 12noon and start with the street dancing around 1:30 pm. As soon as Governor Gwen Garcia and her party, guests and visitors would be comfortable in their respective places, the programme shall start. It will be hosted by Mr.Jun-jet Primor (Choreographer-Hinulawan)and Mrs. Trinidad Bubuli. The welcome message shall then be given by Hon.Arlene Zambo. Further, the contest proper will kick-off.As soon as the presentors are called, they shall begin right away the ritual and showdown competition.

It would be followed by the Hinulawan Jingle chosen from among selected dancers and Mayor Zambo. The grand finale will be dancing to the rythm of "MABUHI" with all contingents together with Mayor Zambo & City officials. Afterwhich, there will be an awarding ceremony. Coordinators are encouraged to be ready as their names would be called.
Gov.Gwen grace the Hinulawan festAs closure of the programme, all the guest will proceed to Cebeco III at Luray,Toledo City where a fine dining awaits them.Guest are free for billeting around the booths and exhibits. While eating,they shall be entertained with rondalla, visayan songs from the Cebeco Choir and Toledo Choir. Acknowledgment will follow.
